Meosae

”Meosae” refers to the work of curving downward new buds with wires that come out in early spring. This work is important to shape tree form, especially for young trees which vigorously send out fresh buds. In most species of tree, new buds that come out in the early spring extend upward obliquely. If the situation is left untouched, growers cannot shape bonsai trees as they might like.
