Guide to Konishi Shorakuen
Konishi Shorakuen is one of the pioneers of export and internet selling. Konishi has exported his products mainly to Europe such as France, Switzerland, and Germany for more than 20 years. He launched his garden’s website in 2002 and began selling his products not only in Japan but also to the world through the Internet.
Because the garden sells bonsai by wholesale, Internet, and export, the display in the garden does not have any feature compared with other bonsai gardens in Kinashi which have elegant and traditional bonsai shelves. But the Japanese white pine trees in the bonsai fields are very huge. The trees are registered for the export to Europe. The attraction is the size. Now bonsai and colored carp are popular in Europe and some people make Japanese style garden. For meeting their requests, Konishi prepare Japanese white pine as large as garden trees.
Some bonsai gardens have successor problem. His eldest son, Yasuo, quitted his job and became the fourth owner. Yasuo grows not only Japanese white pine and Japanese black pine, but also deciduous trees such as blueberry and olive. He looks for a new business using internet like his father which he is good at.
They have a wide range of trees, especially Japanese white pine and Japanese black pine, from shohin to large size, and from reasonable tree to high-class one. They will take questions about bonsai so you can ask questions by email.
