We are deeply moved by the many messages we have received from our friends overseas. We are very grateful for your expressions of condolences and support for the victims of the ‘Great East Japan Earthquake’ which Japan on March 11.

The damage to the stricken areas in the Tohoku and Kanto regions was devastating and at unprecedented level. However, the whole nation of Japan is united in its efforts to begin the reconstruction and healing of our country.

We understand your concern about The 11the ASPAC in Takamatsu. However, Takamatsu is located in Western Japan, and we are fortunate not to be affected by the earthquake or tsunami. Furthermore there has been no radiation from the Fukushima Nuclear Plant in this area either. Nor is there likely to be in the future. Therefore, The11th ASPAC Bonsai and Suiseki Convention & Exhibition in Takamatsu will be held as a previously scheduled.

We hope that you come to Japan and experience the excellent Bonsai and Suiseki world and send a warm message to victims of the earthquake and tsunami. It will be a great encouragement for them and us.
