Kagawa Prefecture is the smallest prefecture in Japan in terms of territory. Yet it is Japan's largest producer of matsu (pine) bonsai trees. Up-to-date information comes from Takamatsu, the capital of Kagawa Prefecture, which continues to maintain the world's No. 1 bonsai culture with its long history of bonsai cultivation.
