Kabudachi

Multiple trunks. Trees with two or more trunks from its foot are collectively called ''takan'' multiple-trunk trees. ''Kabudachi'' refers to a tree with five or more trunks extending from its foot. A tree with two trunks from its foot is called ''sokan'' (double trunks) and one with three trunks ''sankan'' (triple trunks). Usually, trees with odd-numbered trunks are appreciated. Even-numbered ones, except for two, are unpopular.
